What do I live for...

I live for the big stuff, but mostly small moments in between. Moments that make my heart race or skip a beat. Smiles with strangers, smiles that make my eyes crease. The fluttering feeling in my chest boarding a bus or a plane, headed somewhere new, anticipation for places and people I'll meet.
Hearing a song for the first time only to play it on repeat. Poems and stories as if spoken directly to me. Bold and bright sunflowers, or the smell of jasmine that reminds me of home. Apapacho - a hug from soul to soul - or so the Mayan saying goes. I live for deep and meaningful conversations about our fears and dreams. And the stupid things we do, giggling until it hurts our cheeks.
I live for dancing round kitchens or barefoot in a field. Arms in the air, wind on my face, carefree. I live for mountains and rivers, oceans and seas. Butterflies and hummingbirds, flowers and bees.
I live for skin against skin, hugs, kisses and screams. I live for today, because who knows if we have tomorrow. I live to feel alive, however that may be.
